Confused by Healthcare Reform?
The sweeping Healthcare Reform legislation will affect everyone. Our goal is to be a resource and guide to our clients as we move toward the changes in 2014. This section was developed to help individuals that are either insured on a plan written through our office, insured on another individual plan, or looking for insurance to be compliant with the individual mandate January 1, 2014. This site is designed to give individuals the quick access to information they need as well as toll free access, email and chat to our dedicated reform team.
A changing marketplace
There are many changes coming in 2014. The good news for some is that states are developing exchanges with financial assistance for individuals up to 400% of the federal poverty level and those with health conditions can no longer be denied. These improvements come with a purchasing mandate, limited choices with regard to plan design and increased premiums. It is important to review your options carefully. If you are currently covered with an individual plan, an early renewal in late 2013 may save you money
